Help me give my students hands-on reading materials at their level that they love.

My Students

My students come to me with a variety of needs that prevent them from being successful in a traditional classroom environment. These unique students require unique interventions.

Academic success starts with engaging and FUN content so students LOVE learning!

I want my students to be successful in school throughout their academic careers. This starts with building a strong foundation where my students learn by bringing engaging activities and resources into their world.

Exceptional student education while teaching multiple grade levels at one time requires a variety of resources that are engaging to a wide variety of ages and skill levels.

My Project

So many of my students are unable to have reading materials in their homes that they find accessible. Scholastic News offers a wide variety of topics at several reading levels. With these materials, I would be able to plan small group and whole group lessons on topics that interest my students. Best of all, these magazines are able to go home with them when we are finished using them in class. This means that the students have materials to share their developing love of reading while providing them the opportunity to practice these emerging, critical skills. Many of the Scholastic News articles are informational. That means the students are learning about topics they may not otherwise be exposed to.
