My Project

These Graphic Novels (also known as well-written Comic Books), Chapter Books and Picture Books on this list will continue to bring up to date reading materials that I take into student's classrooms. My Reading Specialist cart is a place that my students really enjoy looking for books to borrow. Every book that is placed on my cart is treated with love and care! Since kids begged for me to provide these titles they are extremely excited and thankful for the opportunities to read all of them. The students have always been allowed to help me create lists of book titles. That is helping them continue to enjoy independent reading time, reading just for enjoyment and it also is turning them into lifelong readers .

The students have helped me create this list of books that they can't wait to read!!

These books on my list are of high interest which is the best way to increase reading minutes for kids. The more students read the better they grow as readers. It's a lot like sports, to become a better athlete you practice for hours. With the books on this list kids will want to read for hours which in turn helps my students grow stronger in reading.

I have seen how choice can positively affect my students work and demeanor and I hope that the additional books will help us grow even more!
