We are in a very high poverty community.
My school is a wonderful place where we are dedicated to developing critical thinkers and independent learners who will reach their highest potential through high expectations in an engaging environment. Many of my students come from lower socioeconomic situations. However, my students are wonderful children that have a desire to learn and succeed. Many of my students have not experienced life outside of our town, so I intend to bring the world of learning to them through the use of technology. Some may not have access to technology at home. It is important I provide as many learning opportunities that include technology in today's digital age.
My Project
The oval classroom rug will help my classroom have a designated meeting spot for whole group lessons. This classroom carpet will be a comfy space for students to learn.
Additionally, my students need the charging station for our classroom iPads because we are currently unable to charge more than four at a time.
This always leaves someones dead and they are not able to engage in the math, reading, science, or other subject activity that we are working on. This will help our learning go much smoother! It will especially help individual work using our classroom technology become more meaningful and productive.
