Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students include students on Individual educational programs, students who are English Language Learners (ELL)and students who are neither on an individual educational program or ELLs. The population consists of a diversity of cultural backgrounds, and collectively we will participate in community service projects this year. We are a community that embraces social emotional learning which helps students learn skills to interact effectively with one another while dealing with their feelings and the feelings of others and they LOVE it.
My Project
These are essentials items that will make the start of a new school year smooth. My students will be ready for the upcoming school year with the essentials that are the backbone to all classrooms.
Students appreciate having extra pencils ready when they have lost theirs as well as having rulers available in the classroom.
This project will also supply the classroom with cleaning wipes, tissue for noses, and paper towels for hands. As any middle schooler will tell you, any opportunity to get outside for structure play is welcomed and the basketballs and jump ropes always bring fun times. Students need movement breaks and recreational items are essential.
