Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As I am moving towards my third year of teaching in a highly impacted school, I have faced plenty of challenges. However, watching these students succeed makes every obstacle worth overcoming.

My job, as an educator, is to provide my students with all the tools they need in order to continue succeeding.

In order to do this, we may need materials that are not traditionally funded. Supplies suffer wear and tear quickly, and often need to be replaced. Basic materials such as pocket folders and binder pouches allow students organization. Water bottles keep us from continuously visiting the water fountain, making sure we are getting the best use of instructional time. Dry erase clipboards allow us to practice new skills as we learn them. Providing students with these tools allows them to be equipped with what they need to reach the goals we set each year.

By helping my class of students, you are supporting their education, and this support will continue on into their futures.
