New Year: New Classroom !

Help me give my students basic furniture and school supplies! Having new, safe, and functional materials in my classroom will help my students reach their full potential.

My Students

My students are brilliant intellectuals. The beautiful diversity of the 21 students I serve spans across different races, ethnicities, genders, cultures and socioeconomic statuses. I also serve students with IEPs (Individualized Education Plan), 504s, as well as students acquiring English. We strive to honor and celebrate the strengths of our human differences and educational needs. My students and I work together in the same environment to achieve the same goals: to grow our own brilliance and continue to let it radiate (while also understanding, supporting, and learning from/with others' intellectual brilliance).

I believe in creating a more inclusive, just, and equitable learning experience for ALL learners.

One way I can serve the needs of my students is by creating a learning environment that is safe, flexible, supportive, and welcoming.

My Project

Having new, safe, and functional materials in my classroom will help my students reach their potential. It will also help our space feel inviting and important!

The environment we are in has a profound impact on our well-being and ability to learn.

This means that I need new, safe, and functional materials to make my classroom a place where my students can proudly and bravely do their best learning (and be their best selves). Most of my current furniture is falling apart and we need inviting places to sit, work, and take breaks! We also need space to store the materials that support our learning. The creative and necessary basics such as staplers, scissors, and coloring materials are also always important to us as well. If this project is fully funded, we will have the new furniture and materials that will make our classroom a place students want to be in; these materials will help our classroom grow into the safe and productive place we all deserve! Help our brilliant minds grow!
