My Project

Hello there I'm Erik Barreira, I am a new teacher here on the sunny island of Kaua'i. I currently am writing this essay to ask for your support in being able to kick start my classroom. Some of the materials that I have in my cart are resources and tools that my students and myself can utilize for our success. These materials include electronics like printers and refrigerators, manipulatives and other classroom materials. With these materials I will be able to provide my students with incentives and supports that they need to strive in class.

My goals for this project is to be able to provide my students with the materials they need to succeed.

The electronics in my classroom will allow me to prepare lessons and materials for my students. The refrigerator will be used to keep incentives like juice and other snacks cold and at the ready for when the students have earned them. Along with that, the math manipulatives, whiteboards and dry erase markers will be able to help my students accomplish and achieve their academic goals. I'm positive that with these materials that my students will be able to strive and reach their goals.

My students are very special because they're so unique and have their own special talents and abilities. In the classroom I can see all their ideas and strategies blend together in a melting pot of cultures and learning. I want to continue to provide the necessary resources for my students to grow as an individual and as a student. This can all be made possible with your help and I'd greatly appreciate that.
