My Students

My students all have difficulties coming to school prepared on a daily basis. Any little noise can cause distraction and lose focus. They all come from very different backgrounds and a lot of them struggle for basic necessities at home. Our school is a high poverty school. My students are learning in a variety of ways!

My students ask me specifically for ways to help them focus better.

They want to learn and do well. My students need a kidney-shaped table to help their focus and learning in a different way!

My Project

My classroom is full of leftover furniture. It has trapezoid tables that do not help larger groups learn. I have tried separate desks as well and they do not work for the different curriculum programs that we use.

The kidney table will allow the students to be able to see me while we are in the middle of our programs.

It will also let me see the students appropriately and be able to do the programs we need to do in a timely manner. Currently, with my bigger groups, we leave and go to a different room because my set up is not working!
