Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

A barrier that exists in our South Georgia middle school with our student-athletes interested in playing sports is the fact that many do not have the means to provide the basic attire to participate. As middle school girls' track coaches, we want to remove this financial barrier in order to encourage more students to participate than ever before. We all know the benefits of participating in extracurricular activities, so we want to explore all resources necessary to make sure the needs of our student-athletes are met.

This project will afford our middle school girls' track student-athletes with sweatpants to wear during our middle school track practices and matches.

Thank you for your assistance with these efforts to provide our middle school track student-athletes with the necessary sweatpants to perform to their best ability during after-school track activities. Thank you!
