Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I recently welcomed some new students into my classroom who require a few specialized items. Wiggle cushions and the weighted lap dog are to help stabilize and strengthen the core making it possible to sit at their desk independently.

The books, mindful puzzles and rug are to add to our calming corner.

This is where students can go and regulate their emotions when they are frustrated, overwhelmed or just needing a break from all that surrounds them.

Some of the other items such as the pencil grips are just to replenish our stock. As the special education teacher in the building other teachers come to me for helpful tools like these.
