This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach in one of the largest urban districts in the country. I travel to teach strings at 7 different schools. I teach students with diverse backgrounds, but, in every student, I see the potential of becoming better human beings through the power of music-making.

Students who can't afford an instrument receive one for free.

In order to have the material the students need to play their instruments successfully, we need donations. The accessories we are requesting in this project will help my students become better musicians. Thank you for considering our project! You can make a difference!

My Project

My elementary orchestra is in desperate need of new strings for the violins.

Recently we were blessed with the donation of some violins and although they are playable, their strings are very old and they are not allowing the students to explore the sound possibilities of the instruments.

The students in my orchestra are from homes that are not financially stable so the only way we can get these strings is through donations. Anything you can give to this project will get us closer to being able to use these donated instruments. We will be forever grateful!
