Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are full of energy and love to do hands-on activities. They are part of a college preparatory program for low-income families. Most of our students to not have access to a lot of opportunities outside of school.

These students come to school and are excited to try and learn new things.

They challenge themselves daily and enjoy pushing their limits to new heights. They are doing their best to break barrier after barrier.

My Project

These materials will help my students gain exposure to sports that are not as familiar to them. Soccer is really popular in the area, but a lot of my students lack exposure to new experiences. The economic situation in the area makes it nearly impossible to parents to give our students experience in different organized sports outside of school.

My goal is to expose these students to as much as possible so that they can learn and grow in new areas.

This will help the students view the world differently.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
