Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach 2nd grade. The kids at my school are very loving. They try their hardest and will do anything for their teachers. Some live in tough neighborhoods or homeless shelters. They still come to school wanting to learn and happy to be there. We always want to make sure to provide for every student.

My Project

My school has worked very hard to improve our math and literacy scores. All of our funding has been used to to meet our yearly improvement goals for these two subjects. Sadly that means science and social studies has been neglected.

I want to purchase an easy to use science and social studies curriculum we can implement into our daily schedule!

This project will provide this for every 2nd grade classroom. I want to purchase a wonderful curriculum from Teachers Pay Teachers that is already aligned with state standards and includes everything we need to teach high quality lessons.

I also want to have binders and sheet protectors so we can print the curriculum and organize it. The notebooks will be used by the students to keep their work organized for each subject as they learn.
