Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from an urban area with diverse backgrounds, so they are facing multiple life issues. This can be difficult for anyone, so it is highly important that they are afforded a classroom environment that promotes their learning and well being first and foremost.
They are enthusiastic, ambitious, and motivated learners.
I wish for each one of my students to have the opportunities that they so rightfully deserve in a classroom environment that provides ample and worthwhile learning experiences.
My Project
A new school year is approaching soon, and I want my class to have the materials needed to start the year on the right path for my students. Tissues and hand sanitizer are a must in an early childhood classroom. It is a frequent occurrence in any classroom that children get the common cold, so it important that the classroom has tissues and hand sanitizer readily available for them. The dry erase markers will be used during whole group, small group and independently to work on math equations, sight words and writing skills.
I wish for my students to have a classroom that comes full circle where they are learning, having fun and feel safe.
I have requested classroom borders and accents to brighten up the classroom so that it is inviting and feels like the children's home away from home. The Junior Learning Roll a story develop storytelling oral language dice and the Junior Learning Roll a word develop spelling and word formation dice will be added to centers to help with the children's literacy skills. The books requested will enhance fluency and reading comprehension. I wish the best for my students, and I want them to have a multitude of positive classroom experiences. Let's make it happen!
