New School, New Needs

Help me give my students new needs for their new classroom. I have requested pencils because these are gold in classrooms and hard to find.

My Project

I recently moved to a new school in a new school district where I am teaching writing to 110 fifth-grade students! It is a wonderful community filled with critically thinking students who are involved in sports, music, and academics. When teachers switch schools, there are unique necessities for the classroom.

I have new needs for this new school and most of the needs are to be of better convenience to the student population and myself.

There is always a need for pencils and when you have 110 students, sometimes keeping track of pencils becomes very difficult. I am requesting colored paper to color code for each of the four classes. Erasable pens are very beneficial when grading tests (I make a lot of grading mistakes) and making suggestions for their writing drafts. The lap desk will sit on top of my regular desk to create easier accessibility for working behind and in front of my desk and having access to the projector screen. The HDMI cable is to create space between the projector and my desk so that I am better able to see the screen. The rolling wagon is to gather their lunches and transport them to the lunch area which is far from our classroom. I added stickers to this project because students love getting stickers as a reward to put on their water bottles, binders, etc. I requested some plant materials so that we can enjoy having indoor plants to take care of. The magnet rod and clips are to hang informative posters for students to reference as helpful guides.
