My Students

I work with first grade students who struggle with emotional, behavioral and academic challenges. Play is an important part of their learning. It helps to create community and overcome some of the challenges they face while navigating a social environment.

My students come primarily from low income background where resources are limited.

They are all working hard to learn academic skills and how to be part of a classroom community. My students deserve new opportunities to reach their fullest potential!

My Project

I am looking to improve play opportunities in my classroom with some new developmentally appropriate supplies. My students learn so much from play and are motivated to complete academic tasks when they know that new and exciting play opportunities await them.

I am also looking to organize some new systems in the classroom by adding book and pencil boxes for materials.

Organization can be challenging for my kids, as is managing classroom supplies. I am hoping to create a new system where they can keep all of their academic supplies in one place. Please help support a wonderful group of kids!
