New Lighting For Video Technology Class
My students need new lighting equipment for the production of the video projects.
The students are very interested in the media program at our school; however our equipment is beginning to be out dated and broken. As the media instructor, I would really like to bring more current technology into the classroom.
My classes range is from middle school to high school.
All of them are fascinated with cameras and want to learn how to make compelling videos. The amount of creativity I see in each grade is amazing; there is so much talent in this school. I see future filmmakers coming from Imagine Prep.
Part of the lessons that are taught include the art of 3-point lighting that is used in nearly all interviews and other video projects. There are three components in 3-point lighting (main, key and fill lights), unfortunately, I only have 1 working light in my classroom. I would like to have this new 3-point light kit so the students can implement the lessons that are taught.
Media is much like standard art classes, it allows the students to express their creativity, only in a digital medium.
This class allows the students to learn through actually performing the tasks, but in order to do that they need the necessary equipment.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
