This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have been busy working with our class materials for some time now, and though I have been adding some new things throughout the year, I have little left to offer. This is especially true, because my TK classroom debuted just last year, and we were given few materials to begin.

I would really like to offer my students new and exciting materials to spark a new energy for the remainder of the year.

I want to add more Legos to our construction area, so more children can build whatever they can imagine. Adding geoboards to the math center will get them to extend their thinking about shapes. The plastic shells and animals will provide new things to discover at the sand table. Baby furniture in the dollhouse will help children role-play being big brothers and sisters to their baby siblings. The coaster activity kit will help build the children's STEAM skills in an exciting way. New paint supplies will get us through the end of the year. And little people and vehicles will attract more children to our block center; perhaps some girl who usually avoids this center will discover the joy of engineering and constructing!
