My Students

I work with a fantastic group of third graders. My students come from a variety of backgrounds.

Our class is made up of students with different personalities and abilities.

Many of the students in our classroom are English Language Learners, have special needs, or come from challenging backgrounds. Despite the differences in my students, they have something in common: they all love to learn! My wonderful kids work so hard day in and day out to learn reading, math, and other subjects. I feel my students deserve the best of everything! They are a super bunch of kids!

My Project

Next year I will be looping with my students to the next grade.

Looping allows teachers to stay with their group of students year after year as they progress from one grade-level to the next.

And there's an even more important reason to institute looping in schools: mitigating adverse childhood experiences known to negatively reshape children's brains.

I am excited about this new life change, but it will come with some challenges. I will need a lot of new curriculum and books. The books I have selected are high-interest and at a higher level. Thank you for considering my project and helping me to stock my new library.
