New Family Resource Center

Help me give my students a variety of educational and fun games and books that they can borrow to bring home and enjoy with their families.

Mrs. Wilson Adams Elementary School
Janesville, WI Grades 3-5

My Students

After 8+ years without, our school is fortunate to have a Family Resource Center (FRC) starting back up. The FRC has a mission of strengthening the school-to-home connection by offering enrichment materials and opportunities for all families. Our hope is to help families attain the skills and resources they need to connect with their children to help them learn and grow. The FRC is also a place where students can go to borrow items such as books, crafts, and games to take home to enjoy with their families. Students can complete challenges to earn prizes, too! Occasionally, select groups of students have the opportunity to learn basic cooking skills with a fun food-related class in the FRC.

My Project

Many students do not have access to quality books or educational games at home. That's where we come in!

Our Family Resource Center (FRC) is just getting started and we want to build up our library of items that students can borrow to enjoy with their families.

Reading and having fun with grown-ups is an important way that kids learn to LOVE learning! I've included books and games that kids will learn without even knowing it. Some of the most basic math and reading skills can be strengthened through play!
