Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach in a low socioeconomic area in the heart of our city in Alabama. My students come to me daily, ready to learn, and eager to please their teacher by doing their best work. I provide many resources myself for my classroom, due to low funding. All of our students qualify for free lunch and my students would greatly benefit from any additional resources.

My students are a wonderful group of children and they deserve the world.

I am trying my best to give them as many opportunities to be as successful as possible.

My Project

I was told after Christmas that I would be switching grade levels within a few days of students returning. I am currently a 5th grade math teacher and will be switching to a second grade teacher. These grades and the resources needed are complete opposite, so you can only imagine the stress I have on me to make this classroom amazing and ready for my new students. Since I am doing a complete new grade level, I need to purchase the resources needed to help the students meet their goals for the school year. TpT gift cards will make sure that I have all the resources needed to accomplish this.
