Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My class consists of 23 amazing pre-k students from Baltimore, Maryland! They all start each day with a positive attitude and are eager to learn! We have a diverse classroom including several students who are English language learners.

This is the first school experience for many of my students, so everything is new and exciting for them!

They really look forward to coming to school and learning new skills. This year they will learn everything from writing their name to solving simple addition and subtraction problems.

My Project

The new Classic Stacking Chairs that we are requesting will help to change the look of our room! They will allow us to replace all of our current worn out chairs that we have had for many years. The new chairs will all be matching and add to our bright learning environment. The chairs will be used daily by the students throughout their entire learning day. Twenty-four chairs will be placed at our tables for the students to use them while they complete their seat work. The other six chairs will also be used in our learning labs (centers) throughout the classroom.
