My Students

How exciting is it when students come to school on a daily basis! My students are the most amazing, creative, talented, caring individuals that are capable of doing anything that they put their minds to! Keeping them in a clean and healthy classroom to learn each day is a must while maintaining a warm, loving environment.

I teach in a low income, high poverty, Title I, middle school, where all students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Their capabilities and strengths to succeed are truly inspirational. My population consists of general education students, students with disabilities, and English as a second language learners. The diversity in my classroom brings out their desire to work hard and to accept differences.

My Project

Picture this: walking into a brightly decorated, sixth grade classroom with an eye-catching, brand new library of award-winning books all for the borrowing; nonfiction and fiction paperback books about Ancient Civilizations, culture, history, social/emotional books, Civil Rights, and so much more just lining the wall!

My super sixth graders deserve to come back to the classroom to see and borrow a wide variety of award-winning books that will enhance their desire to read!

I can just see students' excitement to come back into the classroom! I can't wait to see the sparkle in their eyes when they see brand new books, all for their enjoyment! Please help my students sit back and relax with a good book that is difficult to put down!
