This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class was recently awarded a Donor's Choose project. There were many science books, story books and science journals included in this project as well as many opportunities for science experiements in the classroom. We need a place for our Butterfly Habitat, Praying Mantis Habitat and our tadpole kits until we can use them in the spring. The bookshelves in my classroom are not large enough for my new supplies.

I want our students to be able to use our new materials easily and frequently.

I know the students will be able to access our books better in a spinning tower type bookcase. I want them to be able to engage with our new materials often.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
