My Project

My students deserve to enjoy reading again! I am hoping these class sets of books that I loved when I was in high school that really got me into reading will also spark a new joy for my students. I am teaching World Lit next year and these books fit in that category all while being incredibly heartfelt and beautiful. It can be difficult to get students to love reading, but with the proper book to spark their energy--they will love it again!!

Students deserve to love reading.

The Book Thief is a powerful read about a young German girl's experience during WWII. It is told from the perspective of death and leaves a lasting impact on readers. The House on Mango Street tells the story of a Latina girl growing up in Chicago. It is real and raw. Students really connect with it.

I know my students will love these books. The Clorox wipes will help in all of my classes to clean up when needed. I have been lacking those this year.
