My students are so pleased with their own personal journals. My students write in them daily. I feel like it is very important for students to come up with their own voice and these journals help them to achieve that. The boxes of pencils have been incredibly useful, especially as the school year goes on! Everyone has a pencil on the first day, but as time goes on they somehow disappear. \r\n\r\nThe art supplies have helped with many creative English activities. We just started \"Night\" by Elie Wiesel and I like to do a one-pager assignment at the end of this unit which will require many art supplies. I love for my students to not just read and write, but to create and envision bigger worlds!
