Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Here’s to new beginnings with a new group of students and coworkers! As someone who will be team teaching, I will be teaching about 40 students throughout the day. These items listed will help me get a head start on the 2024-2025 school year. I’m currently in the process of packing to switch schools next year. I want to be able to supply my future students with all of the things my current students were blessed to have this year. The storage containers will make it easier for my students to store their workbooks and supplies, as well as carry when switching to their math class. The sheet protectors with hooks will allow my students to place their math fact sheets, cursive sheets, and reading worksheets in. They will be able to hook the sheet protector on their desk or stick them in their notebook or agenda. Not only will this store them, but allow them to write on the sheet protector allowing for consistent practice. The copy paper will allow me to go ahead and start making copies of curriculum resources I may lose access to next year, due to switching schools. The pencil sharpener will allow students to freely sharpen their pencil and the electric stapler will also allow students to staple their papers independently when they have to rip them apart for instruction. The testing dividers will give students privacy while they are taking tests on paper or a Chromebook. This will also begin to prepare them for state testing where students have to use dividers to minimize cheating and distractions. The clear sheet protectors will allow me to store the resources I print in a notebook and will keep the papers from getting wrinkled or torn, and allow me to organize the sheets by standards.
