This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come to school eager to learn and excited about what the day has in store.

I teach at a Title I school in a city in Oklahoma where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch, for some this will be the only meals they eat.

Many of my students are ELL students, where Spanish is their first language. My students may face many obstacles but they don't let that stop them. They want to be in school because they want to learn so that they can be successful one day.

My Project

After 9 years, I will be moving from Kindergarten to First grade. I would like to give my students some materials to help them work independently.

A class set of clipboards will give my students the ability to sit anywhere in the room and complete their work.

I want to be able to give them the option to work where they fill the most comfortable and the clipboards will allow me to do that.

I also need a class set of headphones, so my students will be able to work on iPads and Chromebooks without bothering other students.
