Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are curious Kindergarten students who are economically disadvantaged. Most come from homes with limited learning opportunities and resources. They have the biggest hearts and minds that are ready to learn!
They jump at the chance to explore and learn new thing that capture their curious minds, which is anything and everything.
My students get very excited when they get to explore and learn from new things. Their learning is built through reinforcing essential skills with rigorous activities that are disguised as games!
My Project
Because of limited space in our classroom, my students cannot bring bulky backpacks. They take up so much space! The clear backpacks will help conserve space in our quaint classroom. The backpacks will also help us stay organized in our classroom. The backpacks will help students stay ready in case we have to go all virtual again the in the future.
It is important to teach our students organization skills, so the At-Your-Seat Storage Sacks will help them practice that life skill.
The storage sacks will stay in our classroom; however, it will serve as a preventative COVID-19 measure.
