My Project

I have been teaching for 8 years. 7 of those years have been in first grade. I have been in the same classroom as well. A lot of things in my room are in desperate need of updating. Especially our reading area. I am a firm believer in allowing children access to a variety of genres. Therefore, I am asking for a new bookshelf with easy access for my students to find books they enjoy reading.

I believe they should have time every day to look and and read books that they love.

I am also asking for a new color printer for our classroom. With technology advancements on the rise, I find it important to continue using print text as well. My students are asked to create things online and I would love to be able to print out student artwork and creations for them to keep a hard copy of their work to be proud of. It will also allow the students to display their work for everyone to see rather than keeping it stored on a Chromebook for only them to see.
