They improve focus and concentration by blocking out noises around them, promote independent learning skills, and increases engagement in educational learning sites. My students were so excited to see the headphones coming out of the boxes. Our current classroom set of headphones are small, thin, and light and easily break at the earpieces. My students were most excited about the \"pillow\" that covers their ears. They said \"it was so soft\" and they \"can't hear anyone in the room.\" I can see the happiness and confidence each time they put them on for learning! \r\n\r\nYour donation has made an impact more than imaginable! Your generous donation to help fund our project for new books to add to the classroom library has brought so many smiles to my students! \r\n\r\nSince the day we received the package, my little friends have been eager to read the next book in the series! Your donation has allowed me to expose them to a variety of graphic novels that has ignited a love for reading within them! Most of my students are not able to purchase books from the book fair or retail stores to get the most recent \"hot\" novels that are out. This donation allowed me to purchase complete sets, or add missing books from sets we had, to complete our library! Students that had never read some of these graphic novels are now signing up on a \"waiting list\" to get their turn! They have even began to check out more genres from the school library and I really feel it is because of the exposure this grant has provided! \r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is a quiet time each day where students are sitting around the room, lounging if you will, enjoying a book! It is exciting to hear them sharing with each other the reasons they love a certain series and suggestions on which they should read next! This new library has created a classroom of collaboration and confidence within my readers! Most of the books in this grant, were purchased for pleasure reading for my kids! \r\n\r\nYou have made a difference in my students and we are forever grateful!","fullyFundedDate":1757599167840,"projectUrl":"project/adventure-imagination-read/9426572/","projectTitle":"Adventure, Imagination, Read!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Pleasant","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7390131_orig.png?crop=327,327,x0,y47&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757640689873","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7390131"},{"teacherId":7412200,"projectId":6883684,"letterContent":"When my students first saw the new Magna-Tiles and waffle blocks, their excitement was contagious! It was incredible to see their imaginations come alive while also practicing important STEM skills such as problem-solving, spatial awareness, and collaboration.\r\n\r\nSince then, these materials have become a favorite part of our classroom. We've used them during STEM centers to encourage teamwork and creativity, and I've noticed students who are usually hesitant to share ideas stepping up with confidence as they work with their peers. One special moment was watching a group of students problem-solve how to build a roof that wouldn't collapse—they tested different shapes, learned from trial and error, and celebrated together when they found a solution.\r\n\r\nThese resources are helping us take our learning a step further. Our next goal is to incorporate the Magna-Tiles and waffle blocks into lessons on geometry, patterns, and even storytelling—using their creations as backdrops for the stories they write. These resources have quickly become an essential part of our daily routine, giving students the chance to regulate their bodies and emotions so they can better focus on learning.\r\n\r\nThe trampoline has been especially helpful for students who need a safe outlet for extra movement. We often use it during brain breaks, and I've noticed that students return to their seats calmer and more ready to learn. The sensory table has sparked creativity and exploration—whether students are scooping, pouring, or sorting, they're strengthening their fine motor skills while also practicing social skills like taking turns and sharing. One special moment was watching a student who typically struggles with peer interaction laugh and play alongside a classmate at the sensory table for the first time.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, my students now have tools that not only support their academic growth but also nurture their emotional well-being. The next step is to continue incorporating these resources into our lessons—using the sensory table for math and literacy activities and the trampoline as part of our movement breaks.
