Fractions bring challenges for a large amount of my 4/5 students. These materials will make a difference in student learning by allowing them access to further explore their learning! Exploring hands-on and digitally give students a concrete way to understand this unfamiliar, abstract mathematical concept. Students use different types of manipulatives to help construct an understanding of ideas that they have in their minds. Manipulatives build students' confidence by giving them a way to test and confirm their reasoning. The TpT gift card will allow for more digital learning resources in which all students will be able to work at their own pace and to strengthen their understanding. They will be able to use the resources over and over until they have the understanding they need to move to the next level. I want to see the "learning glow" in their eyes as they are becoming successful independently!
