My Students

In education, we lack funding for technology the most. Next year, we are going to have 34 students in our classroom with only a handful of computers in the classroom. The computers that we do have are outdated, with older programs that aren't compatible with ones now.

Most of our students are low income students who get reduced and free lunches.

They are a great mix of ethnic backgrounds from African-American, Indian, Middle Eastern, Asian, and Caucasians. They are in 7th and 8th grade learning middle school science, language arts, reading, and social studies. They are a wonderful group of kids who have potential to be great with high aspirations. With the proper guidance and assistance, they can make achievements and bound higher than before.

My Project

We need more technology in our classrooms and for students to have access to that technology. We have computers for teachers to use but we are in desperate need for computers to fall into the hands of the students in the classroom. This will allow students to conduct research by using the Internet. They can use the computer to write their papers and do their homework. Students will be able to check the computer out and take it home if they need. If students need computers to do their homework but they don't have one, this will be a computer that they can check out and take home so that they can finish their homework.

Students need computers to be more productive in the classroom but so that they will be prepared to be productive in their future occupations.

This will help prepare them for the workforce and help make a better future. Through your help and support, you will help children fulfill their dreams and goals by providing tools that they wouldn't have access to on their own. Please help a child grow and flourish in their education and development.
