My Students

I work with the most challenging behavior kids that are not special needs. They are a group of smart and capable students. They just need to be given the skills to assist them in navigating middle school. With some extra resources, patience, and kindness these students will bloom into success.

My Project

Since we are required to be virtual for student learning, we have established a Neighborhood Friday tutoring program. A group of volunteer teachers and support staff go in to the most at risk neighborhoods in our community. Students that need assistance on completing assignments and no matter the grade level are encouraged to attend. We bring breakfast and then meet the lunch bus to ensure the students are feed.

Students are currently using chromebooks with very small screens but I am asking for this larger device to assist when the students when large reading assignments are given.
