I teach at RHS, a public school serving the students of Richmond, Indiana.
My students, representing grades 9-12 and all levels of French, are energetic, motivated, and inquisitive! They love learning the French language and learning about Francophone culture.
My students are diverse and represent various socioeconomic backgrounds, races, ethnicities, religions, and sexual orientations.
Last semester, I submitted a project for snacks and I was amazed at the kindness and support shown to students in my classes. It is clear, though, that more snacks will be needed to get through the entire year.
Often, students need a boost to get through the day.
In addition to my own students, I get students from other classes and during passing periods looking for a mid-morning or late afternoon snack. I never want to turn away a student.
Through this project, I'm hopeful to have enough snacks whenever a student is hungry.
