Help me give my students more STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) centers.
This project expired on December 24, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
As our elementary school librarian, I get the opportunity to work with all of our JK-4 students. Being able to make the most of our half hour to an hour together each week is my goal.
At our school, we have a diverse group of family circumstances.
We are a school-wide Title I school with a lot of need, but we also have very caring and involved parents. To be able to give our students every opportunity they deserve is our community goal.
I would like to challenge my students to explore and learn with hands-on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics) activities. I will be able to incorporate this exploration into our library time by tying it in to the literature that we share.
Children learn more when they are doing.
These STEAM materials will give my students the opportunity to be creative and inventive. They will learn from their successes but also from their failures.
