I currently teach three, eighth grade ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) classes of language arts. They are large classes of thirty, with two teachers in charge of delivering the content and ensuring they are successful before entering high school.
They are highly motivated students with diverse individual needs and learning capabilities.
They all have the capability and drive to do well in the classroom and beyond. We want them to reach their full potential to ensure a successful school year and help prepare them for high school.
My Project
Every year, we have many students who cannot afford the supplies needed throughout the school year. This year will be even harder for some, especially those impacted by COVID-19.
These basic school supplies will help students who cannot otherwise afford them.
These items will be especially helpful since we no longer can have shared supplies in the classroom. Children who come in unprepared and must borrow items can no longer return them to us due to the pandemic. We face a challenging year ahead and appreciate any and all help.
