This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am a Resource Room/Special Education Teacher in a middle school setting. I currently team-teach in two 6th grade English Language Arts classes, one 6th grade Math class, and one 8th grade Math class. Additionally, I teach a group of 7th grade students life skills, study skills, social skills and advocacy skills in an Academic Strategies class. I have the privilege of working with multiple classes and numerous students on a daily basis.
Middle School is so much better when you have easy access to tools and materials to access the curriculum!
I am fortunate to teach and learn from such a bight and humorous group of young individuals on a daily basis.
My Project
I am recently back in the classroom and need to stock up on tools my students can use to assist them with meeting their educational goals. I often provide accommodations for students, such as small group testing and assessment/assignments read, and it will be so nice to have a set of my own Scientific calculators, colorful clipboards, and dividers that my students can utilize.
New materials will create a renewed excitement for learning for both myself and my students!
I can't wait to see the looks on their faces when they are able to utilize their new materials.
