Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This generous gift will cultivate excitement and interest by providing a place where children can work and play together as they experience a rustic outdoors feeling with this beautiful nature-inspired furniture. The children can play collaboratively and enjoy fun and exciting outdoor table games. This furniture will also allow small outdoor group activities where children can develop deeper connections and friendships.

The goal of this project is to capture the children's innate interest through the furniture's aesthetics and with that interest, cultivate a community of inspired learners.

Many of my students have never been to places where they can experience nature. This furniture will bring nature to them and tickle their curiosity. I want my children to develop their oral language and social skills. This furniture will provide an opportunity for both. I can see my children sitting around the table working and playing together. I can see them having conversations, role-playing, and collaborating.

My students are special because they are resilient. They live in a low-income community but their joy, innocence, and kind hearts shine through. They would be grateful for the generosity of this gift.
