I am a new science teacher--lower grades--and was given a science room with virtually no books. I teach 19 classes, including Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, and Special Education students. I would like to take these students, most of whom seldom leave the world of their public housing development, on nature walks in Prospect Park, as well as around the neighborhood, to see that nature is not something that lives hours away from them. I would be grateful for some field guides to help my students identify, learn about, and get connected to the natural world that is all around them. Thank you for considering to purchase these much-needed field guides.
