Natural Disasters: Our First Project Based Learning Unit!
Help me give my students poster boards and emergency kits so they can create disaster emergency preparedness kits for our project based learning unit in the spring!

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials and supplies I'm requesting are going to be used for our first project based learning unit! Students are going to be engaging in their first project based learning unit this year for three weeks. We're researching, writing and creating PSAs about natural disasters and how to be prepared for them!
By donating to our project, students will be able to create their awareness posters and be able to put together their own disaster preparedness kits!
This project teaches students about the importance of being prepared, engages them in real world learning and problem solving. Instead of passively receiving information from teachers, students are actively researching and engaging with their own research questions.
Instead of putting the strain on parents to provide these materials for students, we want to be able to take one thing off their plate for this project!
