This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me help my kids have more science related texts at their fingertips. Our classroom library is lacking nonfiction books related to nature. As we continue to build our science curriculum, we are in need of more research materials.

National Geographic books would be the perfect addition in our classroom as they are the perfect books to complete student research, as they learn about vocabulary, text structure, photos, and topics that can enhance learning through doing.

As students continue to learn about text structure, they become engaged in lessons with the beautiful pictures accompanying the text. These short story texts are perfect to use in whole class discussions, small groups, and individual projects as well.
