My Project

Being a small school, we have very limited club resources. So, it has been exciting, but also difficult to get our new Nail Art Club off the ground. It has quickly become a safe space for our girl students, allowing them to socialize and express themselves creatively. What is really amazing is how excited they are to do their friend's nails. You can see how the nail artist and the person getting their nails done immediately become bonded, heads both bent smiling at the task of collaborating.

The girls have even asked if we can take these skills into the community, offering manicures to ladies at the local senior citizen center.

With dreams of expanding our club services to others, we need to also look into acquiring additional resources. Currently, the girls and I have been bringing in our own supplies from home. While this is getting us by for the next few weeks, these resources will ultimately run dry without additional funding. We hope that Donors Choose will be our saving grace to sustain the club's supplies and allow us to work towards helping our community members with some soothing self care!
