My students need 32" monitors for the media workstations in my classroom.
This project expired on July 18, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Even though we have well over 60% of students in poverty, you could never tell by our test scores because of how hard our students work. Ours scores are competitive with scores around the state and many times our kids are a lot more successful.
They take all the "strikes" that may be against them and it is amazing to watch our kids turn them in to "home-runs" and "wins".
My job is to take their willingness to learn and teach them how to succeed and get a head start in competing in the 21st century.
I love preparing my kids to be 21st century learners! One of the best ways that I have found is to help them create travel videos, commercials, documentaries, TED talks, and other presentations with video creation apps. The 32" screens for the four work-stations in my classroom will allow my kids to preview and rate their creations when needed.
My district provided our kids and us with Chromebooks.
It is our job to use them correctly to foster communication, creativity, critical thinking and collaboration. The Chromebooks are fantastic but their screens are only about 6"x9". I want them to see their creations as they are working and when finished so that they will learn to be more proud of their work.
