Help me give my students what they deserve. Wobble stools will help them get the movement they need while remaining focused on their task. A media cart will make my lessons accessible to all learners in my classroom.
My 5th-grade students represent a wide range of abilities, including many English language learners and students with disabilities. My students each have their own unique personalities, strengths, and interests. They each are an important piece of the puzzle that joins together to form our classroom community.
My students come to school each day and strive to do their best.
They encourage each other to step out of their comfort zones and be willing to make mistakes. They are engaged, collaborative, and teach me something new every day.
My Project
My students need to MOVE! As fifth graders, my students are engaged in cognitively demanding tasks all day long. With a jam-packed schedule and only a short break for recess, my students need a chance to move. Wobble stools will help my students to be able to get this movement break they need, while not missing any learning time. Students will use these wobble stools for multiple purposes throughout the day. They will make group work much more flexible, as students can quickly grab a stool instead of dragging their heavy chair across the room. In addition, a student can pull a stool up to the teacher's table, making small group instruction much more comfortable!
A media cart will allow my teaching to become more flexible, as I will be able to better cater to my students' learning styles.
With a media cart, I will be integrate technology into my lessons on a daily basis. Whole class lessons will become more engaging and meaningful as students will now be able to both hear AND see the lesson!
