My Students Need Supplies!

My Students

My students are teenagers with real life experiences. They are typically low income and on a mission to graduate and further their educations. A good portion of my students have special needs. Another large portion of my students are homeless, or living in poverty.

As the world offers them escapes that befit their economy, I want to show them a whole host of other options that will both lend to their successes, and stretch their minds.

I love my students, and I believe they know that.

Being a high school English teacher has allowed my students an avenue to challenge their perspectives about race, culture, and life. It is an honor to be able to show them what is beyond their bubbles of comfort and understanding.

My Project

These supplies will be put to good use. My students don’t have money to buy supplies for themselves, so I usually buy supplies. It seems like a small thing, but to these students, the basics are everything. The supply that I purchased at the beginning of the year is running out. We need pencils and highlighters so that they can write and process their notes and texts. We really are trying to help them learn and succeed, and in an English class, these supplies are so necessary. Please consider helping out these kids. Your donation really will make a difference.
