Help me give my students a personal space with these chair pockets to keep their own belongings safe and secure during social distancing and COVID precautions.
Third grade is such an exciting group of mixed interests, abilities, and goals. These eight- and nine-year-olds are so eager to learn. They enjoy being social and active while learning. Many of them are working toward independence in their reading and writing.
We are a community of learners who share similar experiences and interests, yet our goals may be very different.
We celebrate inclusion in our school district. Our third-grade classroom has students with autism, learning support needs, speech and language goals, and students who are gifted. We come together for the learning objective and work to achieve these targets at varying levels.
My Project
Currently, our district has plans for face to face instruction. These chair pockets will keep their belongings for their personal use so that we are abiding with COVID precautions. If students would be learning remotely, these pockets could help them create their own customized "At Home Office Space" while keeping their supplies organized and close by.
Students will use these chair pockets to store personal items such as books, pencils, crayons, scissors, glue sticks, and items that should not be shared.
These chair pockets would keep students' supplies safe, organized, and secure.
