Our students attend an inner-city public school where approximately 90% live below the poverty line. We spend a lot of time doing hands-on learning.
All of our students receive a free or reduced-price lunch and participate in the backpack program on the weekends.
This does not stop our students from coming to school and showing their love for learning. We love to explore everything around us, both inside and outside of the classroom. We love to show what we know and learn in a hands-on way.
This literature organizer will give every student the chance to put all of the work that they are proud of in a space all of their own. In kindergarten we do a lot of cutting, gluing, writing, and crafting. Our students are proud of their work and want to take it home looking its best. Our current organizer is extremely well loved and worn out. This organizer will allow each of my students to have their own place to put their belongings until it is time to go home. This way our students can bring home their best work to the family.
