My Kids Need Whiteboards and Supplies

My Project

I teach at an older, urban school and have been told that I will have 30 students in my class. I met these kids at the end of last school year and I know they all try very hard to learn everything they can. Many of my wonderful students are the children of deployed military personnel. Some are disabled, some are deemed at-risk, some are new to this country, some are trying very hard to learn English, some are struggling because they have limited support at home, but they all keep trying and I love their can-do attitudes.

Almost all of my students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch, but we are not a Title I school, and, as a result, we lack the resources and opportunities of many other schools.

My students will be learning how to write and do science reports as they develop their math skills. They need these individual whiteboards and dry erase markers so they can take notes and do math problems every day. They get so excited that they often forget to put the caps on the markers and so we go through so many of them and pencils and tissues just seem to disappear. My students also need the desk/name tags to mark their space.

My kids need these requested resources in order to have a chance to stay in school. Please consider making a donation.
