Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting an assortment of snacks including chips, cookies, and granola bars to keep them energized and focused on learning. Most of the first-grade students, as well as the students in the school, receive free breakfast and lunch at school due to their lower economic status. In the past, most of the students did not bring in an afternoon snack from home because they didn't have a lot of food in the house. Breakfast and lunch are their biggest meals because they get them at school.

I want to offer a variety of snacks for any first-grade students who don't have an afternoon snack or breakfast foods for students who missed breakfast at school.

They eat lunch at 11:00 am, so each day so by the afternoon, they are hungry. These chips, protein bars, and cookies will help them refuel their bodies and give them the energy they need to finish the day. It will help them remain focused on their work, not their rumbling tummies.

The protein bars will be offered to students who arrive to school late and miss breakfast. It will give them the energy they need to focus and complete their work all day.

I have offered these snacks in previous years, and it has helped so much. The students are grateful to receive a snack and feel special that others want them to succeed in their academic careers. Thank you for your support!
